Jkeys

Jkeysauthor, the former CEO of 711 and Blockbuster was asked “What was the biggest driving factor of your success that enabled you to work your way up and become a CEO of a multi-billion dollar company?

He revealed three insights that he was keen to acknowledge saying…

“My gifts to you”

You’ll definitely love the third point

1) CHANGE

People hate change.

Harvey McKay in one of his best seller books said

The only person that likes change is a wet baby”

Many people see change as a disruption, but If you embrace it, you’ll see that if I respond to this change and others don’t, I’m going to turn that into shareholder value.

It was through embracing change that he turned challenges into opportunities and created value for those around him.

2) CONFIDENCE

In times of change and uncertainty, it’s natural to feel a lack of confidence.

However, Jkeysauthor highlighted the power of preparation as the key to cultivating unwavering confidence.

It’s through thorough preparation that one can navigate through change with resilience and strength.

3) CLARITY & SIMPLICITY

The hardest thing in the world is to keep things simple.

Alluding to Coco Chanel’s Famous Quote

“Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”

He emphasised that true elegance is in simplicity.

“I can’t lead if you can’t understand. So it’s up to me to keep things simple and clear”

Amidst the complexity, the ability to keep things clear and simple is a true art.

Jkeysauthor recognized that true leadership stems from the ability to communicate clearly and lead with simplicity.
